How can I make fruit last longer - Ask Auntie Jen

Wash it! It's a few more steps on grocery day but it saves a lot of money because you are keeping fruit fresher longer. Also, I do wash mine on saturday morning, not grocery day because grocery shopping is not a fav thing for me.

Super simple, add warm (almost cool warm) soapy water to sink. Add a healthy splash of white vinegar. Soak your fruit in it for 10 mins. Make sure all of fruit is covered and jostle it around a few times.

Then rinse it off and let it towel dry for at least an hour on a clean kitchen towel. I washed these strawberries to meal prep a salad for the week. They will meal prep better because all bacteria and mold was washed off before I sliced them.

I used my favorite slicer to shorten prep time and to give nice sized berry portions in my salad.

When you do mundane everyday tasks, take some moments to add magic to your day. It's hard, sometimes, to remember to add magic when you get caught in daily hustle and bustle. This is literally why our blog is called Being a Witch in Real Life. I can burn candles and wave crystals around every single day, but I CAN add magic each day. I make that one of my main intentions for each day, add some magic. For this process I add magic by thanking the earth for making these berries. I imagine me and my family taking in all of the vitamins and sunlight and magic that the earth put into these berries. I am thankful and I ask them to bring us health and healing. I ask these things while I slice and wash the food.
