Grimoire 7/25 - healthy bodies and nourishing herbal infusions.

Today was a very corporate day filled with office work and a 9 hour continuing education class. It was a great class and I learned a lot. Days like this, however, are not good for the body. As witches, our bodies and our minds are the strongest tool we have. Sometimes we tend to neglect our bodies and I am knee deep in one of those times. So I am kicking off my return to health. Before bed tonight I am making a nourishing herbal infusion. I have chosen Linden Flower as my herb.

For this type of herbal infusion, it's best to work with herbs as simples, meaning just one at a time. A nourishing fusion is pretty easy. You place one ounce of a nourishing herb into a quart canning jar. You fill the jar to the top with water that has just started to boil, and you seal with a lid. The lid should seal just like during the canning process.

Leave the herb to steep/cook for 8 to 12 hours, I like overnight. I keep mine in the microwave because the small space helps retain the heat and dissapates it slowly.
The next day you staring your drink and enjoy. You can flavor and add whatever you think tastes good. Honey, berries, lemon juice, maple syrup, agave, mint leaves.
