Rose Colored Glass - an alcohol free elixir potion.

This is something that's pretty trendy right now and I do love that people are feeling free to not have to drink alcohol. I also have people that I care for that can't have alcohol so I am pleased to offer them something that can take the place of a glass of wine and still offer relaxation at the end of the day.

Always remember that anytime you make a potion that I have made or recommended, there are are things you should consider. I am not a doctor. Herbs should be ingested thoughtfully after doing your own research. This is not intended for pregnant women or children. (disclaimer) .

Here we go. For this magic you will need:

1/2 cup dried rose hips

1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers

1/3 cup dried schisandra berries 1/3 cup dried chrysanthemum flowers

3 tablespoons Eleuthero root powder

1 tablespoon lions mane powder

2 cups (approx) food grade vegetable glycerin

A 24 once glass jar with a tight fitting lid. I use spaghetti sauce jars for this.

Step 2 requires:

1 cup dried Hemp leaves and flowers

1 to 2 cup jar with a tight fitting lid.

An additional cup of food grade vegetable glycerin

First we need to set our intentions. This elixir is designed to lighten a heart and to calm at the end of the day. We use 8 ingredients because 8 in numerology represents power and balance. It also represents inner strength and wisdom.

Hold the jar in both hands, think of a person who will receive this elixir, and set the magic for this potion by repeating 8 times, "This magic fills your weary heart and guides you towards the night. You find your strength and hope for all to turn out true and right." (I will always tell you to put your own words into your magic when you can).

The rose hips are said to ease inflammation, like maybe puffy feet at the end of the day,

Hibiscus flowers strengthen your weary bones. Schisandra is an adaptogen which is an herb that helps you adapt to and handle stress. Chrysanthemums soothe the skin from the inside. Eleuthero root is anti-stress and is good For blood flow. Lions mane reduces anxiety. Hemp leaves will create a feeling of calm and is said to lower blood pressure.

Place all of the dried items up to and not including the hemp into the 24 ounce jar. The hemp needs to be left aside for an additional step.

Fill the jar with food grade vegetable glycerine. Fill to 1 inch below the rim and to 1/2 above the ingredients. You will need to top it off as the glycerine is absorbed by the ingredients and as it makes its way to the bottom of the jar.

Wipe the rim of the jar 8 times counterclockwise.

For the hemp, I purchased hemp tea because I didn't know where else to purchase hemp. The hemp smells like a cross between weed, coffee and basil from pizza. Interesting herbal thing here...for hemp and cannibus to have maximum effectiveness, you need to decarbonize it. This means applying heat which is why I guess people smoke or bake weed into brownies. Heat. We are not using hemp for any psychoactive properties but for the curative and therapeutic qualities to shine through, so let's apply heat to the CBD.

Spread the hemp evenly on a baking sheet and bake at 230 degrees for 51 minutes.

After this we will infuse the hemp into glycerine in the separate jar and additional glycerine.

Next we wait for a full moon cycle. 28 days. For me it's 4 weeks because I can only do these projects on the weekend because I have a full time job. #BeingAWitchInRealLife

I will follow up with you all after the moon cycle has passed. At that time we will strain the glycerine out of both the mixed ingredients and the hemp, combine them and jar them. The way to enjoy this elixir is to put 1 to 7 dropper fulls into a glass of sparkling water and let the magic flow.
